SLU-PP-332: Research Overview
SLU-PP-332 is a synthetic small-molecule agonist of the estrogen-related receptors (ERRα/β/γ), studied in animal models as an exercise-signaling-pathway mimetic.
A study published in the Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (2024), titled “A Synthetic ERR Agonist Alleviates Metabolic Syndrome,” examined SLU-PP-332 in male mouse models, including chow-fed, diet-induced obese, and ob/ob mice; the compound was associated with increased energy expenditure, decreased fat-mass accumulation, and improved metabolic markers in these mouse models (PMC).
A related study by Billon et al. examined SLU-PP-332 in mouse models of diet-induced obesity and ob/ob obesity/metabolic syndrome, reporting increased energy expenditure and fatty acid oxidation, decreased fat-mass accumulation, and improved insulin sensitivity in the mice studied; no in vitro or human model was reported in this work (PubMed).
