CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin: Research Overview
CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin are synthetic peptides studied in relation to the growth hormone (GH) axis: CJC-1295 is a long-acting analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), while Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide growth hormone secretagogue that acts through a ghrelin-receptor-like mechanism. As a combination, the two compounds are studied for their potential complementary effects on GH signaling pathways.
A study published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism (2006) examined the pharmacokinetic profile, pharmacodynamic effects, and safety of subcutaneous CJC-1295 in healthy human adults aged 21–61, finding that the compound produced dose-dependent, sustained increases in GH and IGF-I concentrations over multiple days following a single injection (PubMed).
A separate study examined ipamorelin’s development, receptor mechanism, potency, and hormonal specificity using primary rat pituitary cells in vitro and pentobarbital-anesthetized rats and conscious swine in vivo; the peptide produced GH release comparable to GHRP-6 and acted through a GHRP-like receptor mechanism with reported selectivity for GH release over other pituitary hormones (PubMed).
